Once a member of the Corydalis family. Wonderful for the rock garden with airy foliage. Blooms all summer and will withstand some frost. The easiest way to start this is to sow direct where you want it to grow, in the fall or early spring. Self sows readily.

I've found that for best germination results, start outdoors (cold frame) early spring. Treat as an annual but have had this survive our Zone 3 winters for up to 3 years. Omphalodes linifolia 'Hails of Spain'

Talinum paniculatum - Jewels of Opar
This is an interesting little plant. Used in Chinese medicine and can also be used as a substitute for spinach (I've not tried it myself). Group many plants together in plantings, flowers are bloom on airy stalks, they are small but are nice massed together, especially with the red bead-like buds and fruits. Bees love them.
