External Garden Seed Resources

Even seed sellers have to go shopping for seed. What follows is a list of our favorites and why.

Gardens Northwww.gardensnorth.com
Hands down, our all time favorite place to shop for new and exciting seed. The catalog is now online only (we will miss the print catalog as it is a wonderful resource, but understand the need). They carry a wonderful range of seed with descriptions to entice any gardener. Germination rates are excellent.

Chiltern Seedswww.edirectory.co.uk/chilternseeds
If you have never sat down with a Chiltern Seeds catalog, we urge you to go to their website and order one. Be careful though, many a time we’ve gotten carried away, the exchange rate can be a bit painful. Germination rates are quite good.

Seed Trades

Trading seed (& plants) with other gardeners is an excellent way to increase the size of your garden at a fraction of the cost of buying retail. Check out Garden Web at www.gardenweb.com , you must become a member to participate, it is free. A few years ago we were able to cross border trade, unfortunately that is no longer the case. There are some excellent Canadian Forums included in the site.
